Netherlands : Postdoc position in Financial Econometrics

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEWEB) seeks to combine high quality education with excellent research. It offers four Bachelor and eight Master programmes together with thirteen professional degree programmes. The faculty has several research groups with an outstanding international reputation. FEWEB accommodates approximately 5,000 students and 1,500 postgraduate students. Over 500 staff members are employed at the Faculty. We are located at the main campus of VU University in Amsterdam.

The Department of Finance and the Department of Econometrics & OR consist of ambitious groups of researchers who are dedicated to high-quality teaching and research. We are actively engaged in the PhD and graduate programmes of the Tinbergen Institute, The quality of our research in financial econometrics is reflected by our publication record, our active and relevant research agenda and our collaborations with international researchers. We are highly motivated to continue the development of theory and methods with a focus on financial economics.

We currently have a vacancy for a postdoc position for 1 year with the aim to participate in ongoing or possibly new research projects related to the measurement of systemic risk from different perspectives.
The one-year postdoc position is for our international cooperation in the SYRTO project which is funded by an EU FP7 grant and is joint with other European universities.

Job qualifications and descriptions
Candidates hold a PhD in econometrics or quantative economics (or a related field) and must show a strong research potential.

The salary will be in accordance with university regulations for academic personnel, and depending on experience, range from a minimum of € 2,427.00 up to a maximum of € 3,831.00 gross per month (salary scale 10) based on full-time employment.
